Prof. Guangming Li

Biography:

Prof. Guangming Li, professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tongji University. Engaged in water pollution control and recycling, wastes management and recovery technologies such as urban solid waste, electronic waste, kitchen and organic waste, waste tires and plastics, and hazardous wastes, as well as urban ecological environment and low-carbon sustainable development technology and innovation planning research.He presided over and participated in more than ten major science and technology research projects under the National "Tenth Five Year Plan" 863, theMinistry of Science and Technology Support Plan, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and local governments. Since 2004, I have been involved inthe formulation of medium and long-term scientific and technological development plans in Shanghai, serving as the leader of the Ecological Shanghai Special Group, participating in the formulation of Shanghai's "11th Five Year Plan", "12th Five Year Plan", "13th Five Year Plan", and "14th Five Year Plan" scientific and technological development plans, and serving as the leader of the Ecological Shanghai or People's Livelihood Special Group; Participate in the special planning, implementation management, promotion, and application of the World Expo Science and Technology Action Plan. We have conducted exchanges and cooperation with the German University of Technology Berlin, the University of East Anglia in the UK, Japan Construction Engineering Corporation, the Italian Federation for Waste Plastic Recycling, and Thailand Green Rubber.Served as the Deputy Director of the Department of Chemistry (1996-1999), Executive Deputy Director of the Training Center of Higher Technical College (2000-2001), and Deputy Dean of the School of Environmental Science and Engineering (2003-2010), responsible for teaching, research, training, and graduate management work. Currently serving as the Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Department of Tongji University (2010 present), responsible for industry university research cooperation and the service and management of scientific and technological achievements. Published over 200 research papers in mainstream academic journals both domestically and internationally in this field of expertise; Editor in chief/co editor of 10 academic monographs and textbooks; Apply for more than 10 authorized patents.

Prof. Jingcheng Xu

Biography:

Prof. Jingcheng Xu is a doctoral supervisor at Tongji University. He has long been engaged in research, engineering practice, teaching and management in the fields of water pollution control and management, deep treatment and resource utilization of wastewater, municipal drainage, and industrial process pollution control. As a project leader, he has presided over more than 30 scientific research projects; as a project leader, he has engaged in more than 30 industrial wastewater and municipal wastewater treatment engineering design and consulting; he has edited and participated in 13 textbooks and books; he has published more than 100 papers, of which more than 40 have been indexed in SCI, EI and SITP.

Prof. Wenzhi He

Tongji University, China

Biography:

Wenzhi He, Ph.D., is a professor and Ph.D. supervisor at the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tongji University. His research involves solid waste treatment and resource utilization, organic waste treatment and hydrothermal resource utilization, supercritical fluid technology, extraction and separation of natural products, and synthesis of polymer compounds. He has presided over or undertaken 15 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Support Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Expo Science and Technology Special Project of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Science and Technology Tackling Project of Shanghai Municipality, etc. He has published more than 140 papers in domestic and international academic journals, and has applied for 15 invention patents. His research achievements have won two second and one third prizes of Shanghai Scientific and Technological Progress, and one second prize of Shanghai Industry-University-Research Cooperation Excellent Project; in 2011, he was awarded the title of "Advanced Individual in Expo Science and Technology" by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China; he is also a member of the Expert Committee of the China Renewable Resource Industry Technological Innovation Strategy Alliance. He is also a member of "China Renewable Resources Industry Technology Innovation Strategy Alliance" and "China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association Renewable Metals Branch Academic Committee".

Prof. Jianwei Fan

Biography:

Prof. Jianwei Fan is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tongji University. He has long been engaged in teaching, scientific research and transformation of results in the field of environmental science and engineering, and is committed to the research and application of water and air pollution control and resource utilization, environmental planning and environmental impact assessment. He has presided over more than ten national and provincial scientific research projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, etc., and the relevant research results are widely used in the application of purification, treatment and resource utilization of wastewater and exhaust gas. He is the editor of "Water Supply Engineering" and co-editor of "Water Supply Engineering" and "Combined Process of Wastewater Treatment". He has published more than 60 articles, including more than 30 SCI papers in international journals, such as J. Mater. Chem. A, Energy Environ. He has published more than 30 SCI papers in international journals such as J. Mater. He has applied for more than 50 invention patents and 3 PCT patents, and 25 of them have been authorized. His achievements have been awarded the Golden Bridge Award of the National Marketing Association, the Third Prize of Shanghai Scientific and Technological Progress, and the Outstanding Exhibit Award of the University Pavilion of the Industrial Fair.

Assoc. Prof. Jiashen Teh

Biography:

Dr. Teh demonstrates the advantages of flexible transmission line rating on high voltage (138-400kV) power grids to enhance the integration of solar and wind energies. The research is state-of-the-art because the new relationships of the flexible line rating technology with existing conditions and legacy technologies are investigated. The research enables the optimal enhancements of line ratings while preserving the life-cycle of transmission lines, and thereby improving the reliability of transmission grids. With this new discovery, electric utilities worldwide can safely increase the power capacity of their existing grids, which can enhance the integration of renewable energy and improves the delivery of clean energy to consumers at a minimal cost. Consequently, the dependency on traditional, carbon-emitting fuels is reduced. This assists electric utilities to reduce carbon emissions and, enable them to commit to higher level of ESG standard. Dr. Teh is also a Technical Director of UPE-Power in Taiwan, which he has implemented his research findings on line sensor products developed for applications in Taiwan and Japan. He has published more than 50 journal articles indexed in the globally recognized SCIE database, which he is the first/corresponding author in 34 (>70%) of them, and 30 (>65%) of the articles are ranked in the database’s first quarter. His publications have attracted 2085 citations and 28 h-index on Google Scholar. He has secured around RM800k of research funding, where more than 40% of the amount was obtained abroad (Taiwan, Saudi). He has accumulated RM30k of local consultancy projects. He has 1 pending patent filed in Malaysia. He is the main supervisor of 4 graduated PhD students, and another on-going 9 PhD students. For three consecutive years in 2019, 2020 and 2021 he was the top 2% world-most-cited-researchers according to field by Stanford University. He was the 2021 Outstanding Engineer by the IEEE Power & Energy Malaysia and the 2022 Outstanding Young Professional by the IET Malaysia.

Biography:

Ratil H. Ashique (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 2011, and the Ph.D. degree from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Skudai, Johor, Malaysia, in 2018. Later, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate with The University of Sheffield, one of the leading research universities in the U.K. His research interests include the design of application-specific high efficiency/high gain power converters, controller design for PFC with integrated active filters, soft switching implementation in medium and high-power converters, and the modeling of class E/D ZVS/ZCS resonant converters.
